Stanislaw Gojny
studied classical guitar with prof. Alina Gruszka at the State Academy of Music in Katowice.
Later he began to study the lute in Cracow and then completed his degree at the Music
Conservatory in Cologne with prof. Konrad Junghänel. He also studied in Bremen and Basel
with prof. Stephen Stubbs (Hochschule für Künste Bremen) and prof. Hopkinson Smith
(Schola Cantorum Basiliensis). He visited workshops with such famous lutenists as Nigel North,
William Carter, and David Miller.
He currently lives in Cologne and performs as a soloist and in various ensembles including the
Tölzer Knabenchor, Musikalische Compagney Berlin, Dresden Baroque Orchestra,
Barocktrompeten Ensemble Berlin, Camerata Silesia, Baltic States Baroque Orchestra
and Il Tempo. In the year 2001 he was a member of the Baroque Academie d´Ambronay
under the direction of Christophe Rousset.
